An 11-year-old opera singer from Pennsylvania trained by her brother shocked and amazed the America’s Got Talent judges with her performance during Tuesday night’s episode.
From the very first note, Arielle Baril proves that she’s in a league of her own. Judges Howie Mandel, Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, and Mel B were all wowed by Baril’s mature voice on the operatic song “O Mio Babbino.”
By the end of the song, the live audience was on their feet and gave the young opera singer a standing ovation. Klum gave a standing ovation, too, leading Baril to burst into tears.
Judge Mel B said, “You’re 11 years old. I was not expecting anything like that to happen. This huge voice comes out of nowhere. How is that possible? That was a very special, beautiful audition.”
Stern agreed that this was a very special performance.
“I see how moved you are by it, and we’re moved by it. To see a 11-year-old have a mature voice, it’s freaky,” said the shock jock. “We’re looking for something amazing, and that was pretty amazing.”
Klum was so impressed that she decided to give her the “Golden Buzzer,” which sends an act straight to the live show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
“I loved this act,” says Klum. “I really, really loved this a lot. And because I love you so much, I’m going to send you right to Radio City Music Hall!”
